McLaren Falls Park State Highway 29 - May 25 & 26..

Another great weekend chasing plastic around the beautiful McLaren Falls Park on the sunny Tauranga side of the Kaimai Ranges. A record turnout, good weather, a first time TD doing a fantastic job and a redesigned course that was not as nearly as scary as past Xtreme courses.

Polo X grounds course, Mananui, Taumarunui April 27 & 28.

One of New Zealand’s Inaugural Tour events provided a challenging course with some beautiful scenic backdrops and even greater hospitality put on by Taumarunui’s ‘Lost Tribe’ Disc Golf Club.

This was the 2013 King Country Classic, with fine weather and even finer golf - a quitesenstial Kiwi Disc Golf experience.

The hospitality of the Waihekians is legendary as is the weather and seafood.

Disc golf in the hot summer sun with a nice breeze to make the course rather diificult to tame for most players. And then on to the soft sands of Onetangi Beach to swim in the Pacific Ocean and enjoy local seafood thanks to the organisers.

November 17 & 18 Monte Cecilia Park, Hillsborough

Talk about testing conditions; we had it all. Heavy rain, showers, drizzle, screaming gale, steady breeze, light wind, cloudy, overcast and even a bit of sunshine. But we still got a big field and plenty of great Disc Golf for the 8th Annual Auckland Disc Golf Champs in the beautiful Monte Cecilia Park.

Set under the gaze of the snow covered mountain caps of National Park in the centre of the North Island, this course gets better every year.

This sweet Harcourt Park Disc Golf course deserves its place on the NZDG annual tour and thanks to Levin’s Brotherhood of Disc Golf we had a fantastic tournament with over 30 players competing for the sweet as trophies and it was the senior (and regular) players that came out top!

From our cobweb files we uncovered this footage from Auckland's Crater Cup where long haired leftie lout Marty de Haas had for the previous 3 rounds been enticed to go for a short 60m ace and paid the price each time scoring 6, 7 and 6. But on the final round as the sun broke through the drizzle and birds a-chirping, de Dev's shot flies true and sweet to claim the $285 Ace Kitty.
