The 2009 Smokin' Mountain at Discovery Lodge, National Park, New Zealand
November 7 & 8 2009

Disc Golf New Zealand

The Lost Tribe always host a great event and the ‘09 Smokin’ Mountain’ was no exception.

As eluded to in the pre tournament amble the only thing that can ruin a well planed event is the only thing you can’t organise, the weather, but even that came to the party. In fact we’d go as far as calling it ideal Disc Golf conditions, and as you can see by the pictures below our photographer Len Scap spent most of his time capturing the scenery as opposed to concentrating on his game.

It’s so great to see 20 plus players competing at these events, and in this case ¼ of them were women. ‘Fantastic’!

TD Des Cooper had come up with a good plan to hold the ‘Smokin Mountain’ over the 2 rounds on the Saturday and the ‘North Island Championships’ over the two rounds on the Sunday with different basket positions, your accumulative 4 round score was where tour points were dished out.

Thanks again to the Lost Tribe for your hospitality and friendship.
